Prayers

Philippians 4:4-6
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So there has been a slight lapse/pause in the wedding recap as my family has recieved some very difficult news. My sweet mommy went in for what we thought was just an ovarian cyst that she discovered the Friday we were in Mexico but in the operating room we found out that it is Stage 2, ovarian cancer that had adhesed to her peritoneal wall. In layman's terms, her cancerous cyst had attached itself to her bowel wall making it much more difficult to remove all the cells. We do not have the full pathology back to know exactly what kind of cancerous cells they are but do know it looks like she will be starting chemo in the next 2-3 weeks.

It was very devestating and shocking news, for those of you who know my mom she is literally the sweetest, most kind hearted, God fearing woman I know. I know she is my mom and may be a little biased but I think she is amazingly precious. One of those people who you think, really her?! Why her?! She is so precious and sweet. We know God is bigger than this and will get her through it and will teach her, mold her, and strengthen her and our family through this experience. We have found the most phenomenal doctor we have been told, Dr. Munoz out of Medical City. This is exciting news because that is where I work and I can meet her for appointments, chemo, etc. Please be praying with us fervently in the next few weeks for strength, guidance, wisdom for Dr. Munoz, and peace. My mom has already said she can feel all the prayers and feels at peace. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has prayed with us, visited us, brought meals, encouraged us and supported us. It will be a long road but know that God will see her through it.
