Weekend Wrap-up

Hope you guys had an incredible weekend....we had a nice relaxing, productive weekend..if you can have both those things all in one weekend, we did:)

Friday: I left work a little early which I like to do on Fridays if at all possible....Got in some sweet playtime with my little pumpkin before her afternoon nap....usually during her naps I find myself being so lazy lately....most weeks/days are SO incredibly busy I long for the moments where I can rest, do mindless things or nap but Friday I had a couple projects I've been meaning to do for months so I was super excited to get them done.

Playing with my lil munckin....when it comes to teething...anything goes....

literally anything...even daddy's nasty feet....

She loves to type on my laptop I don't know what it is about computers/phones/remotes....instant kid magnets
Project #1 for the weekend....finally painted our back door with chalkboard paint...I've been wanting to do it for months...so we can write sweet notes, reminders to each other and I finally got it done...
all you need is this chalkboard paint...I painted it with 2 coats using a brush and then touched up the holes with this sponge. Super easy and makes the biggest difference in our laundry room...
Project #2...the hubs built this frame for me months ago and we finally got it painted and hung to display some of the bazillions of pictures we take....next project is finish our gallery wall...I still just can't decide which wall to choose;)
I debated posting this pic of my baby's behind but I just couldn't resist....this is how she kept standing during bathtime...swoon....

Our nanny arrived around 7 so we could sneak out for a quick, delicious double date with some friend's at Rick's Steak house in McKinney. I loved that we went so late so Isabella was in bed soon after we left so I didn't have to miss out on time with her...sappy..I know but its the truth...great friends, great times, great food!! Good for the soul!!

Saturday:  we woke up and had such a productive Saturday....lots of cleaning...hung a fan on the patio, changed light bulbs, ran to the store, blew up swimming pools, put up a canopy....amazing what you find time to do when you are having people over...our small group came over for a cookout and we had a blast....
And on a super exciting note our Freshly Picked moccs arrived....I'm in love...they are nice and roomy so I'm hoping they make it through winter!...even Isabella was excited...that's her super excited arm swing going on there:)

This hubs of mine is a keeper....we Love, Love to entertain...I found myself the perfect match...I love to host and he loves to cook....perfection!!
We went with my favorite go-to burger bar theme...
Cups for all tastes and varities:)...these kiddie solo cups might be my newest obsession...

Kid friendly snacks....Pirate's Booty///Annie's bunnies/// Plum puffs///blueberries
Excited about this quote from Bread & Wine...thinking I will use this again for Book club dinner I host in a couple weeks...

Burger Bar...I really must bust out my camera more often and quit using my iPhone but its so handy

All the adorable kiddos...Sweet Isabella in the baby pool looking on, I think she thought she was missing out so I moved her over:)

Love this girl...she has my whole heart!!

Loving the big girl pool...this girl was in heaven...

After everyone had left,  after the hubs and I had put Isabella down to bed and finished cleaning we sat down on the couch to unwind and the hubs looks at me and said Kidd Kraddick died...I wouldn't/couldn't believe him...I am still in shock...I have listened to him since middle school and feel like I know him...I am praying for his family and friend's....trust me I know how short/fragile life can be and this was just another reminder to truly care for others because what a legacy he has left behind...I want to be remembered like that...like somone who cared selflessly and put others first.

Sunday...we had our most favorite...lazy, fun morning in bed then got up and ready for church....
She was so cute trying to turn around to see us....my little social butterfly....disclaimer: I fixed her shoulder strap before we pulled out of the driveway she houdini'ed herself out of it to see us...obv wasn't tight enough;) Parents if you do anything at all please, please make sure your kids are in their car seat correctly if you aren't sure what correct is call your local fire station they almost all do car seat safety classes and most local hospitals!!

Project empty diaper bag=small group entertainment...

See another reason I need to grab my good camera perfect picture ruined...she was SO excited about getting to sit in the big girl rocking chair all by herself...

haha see:)

Happy Monday ya'll!! Make it a good one!

  1. Yay for the weekends! I know they'll soon be my favorite for even more reasons! I love the chalkboard door. I saw that frame idea on Pinterest the other day...I might have to make something similar- I don't know how to display all these pics, but they're too cute to just put in an album! : )
