Weekend wrap-up

Oh what a fun weekend.....it was so fun and much needed, sweet Isabella woke up Sunday with a low grade fever and her first cough ever (pretty proud we made it 13 months with no cough...yes she's had a few colds but no cough) so we didn't do much...

Friday we had a impromptu sushi date with daddy after mommy's doctors appointment to our favorite spot.  Then I headed to watch the Nutty Nutcracker....my new favorite holiday Nutcracker tradition...Texas Ballet Theatre (who my sister and brother in law dance for) put on a funny, spoof on the Nutcracker every year...its gotten phenomenal reviews every year...see here and here for a few from this year....

1st taste of Mommy's California roll...she was impressed...

She prefered to suck the salt and soy sauce off the edamame...me too, Isabella, me too

Me & sweet Hannah and Nutty Nutcracker

Saturday....Isabella and I had some cuddle time, ran some errands in the pouring rain, then mommy and daddy headed to the Ellis' annual Christmas party and had a blast...we did a white elephant gift exchange with the theme "things that keep you warm"....the creativity was out of control and was a blast..I didn't take any pics but I'll steal some from Jaimee when she posts hers, haha....

She loved her "Elfie" doll I caught at the ballet

Clapping because she loves her new doll and her Minnie

Cuddling her "Elfie" doll mommy caught at Nutty Nut cracker

"Mommy, can't I open just one"

Sunday...this is pretty much what our day looked like...Isabella woke up not feeling well...so we mostly laid around cuddled some....she was super mellow which for her is super unusual....momma didn't complain...we honestly needed a day to cancel all plans and relax....what a nice relaxing day...hoping our pumpkin feels better soon!
All of her favorites...."Ella" her paci, her lovie, her milk, sippy cup and mommy of course...
I love how she crosses her legs....my fave!
Apparently she didn't want her brocolli....I sent this to my friend Kelly because we were just talking about how our girls seperate the food they don't want:)

Yay for Holiday week...
