My mom's BRCA test came back negative!! Woo Hoo!!  It was SO cute she comes out after recieving her Neulasta shot today (the shot given the day after her chemo to increase her WBC count) and announces to the whole waiting room she has MORE good news. The announcment was that her BRCA was negative. I know this relieves her so much to not have to stress about us girls. This means she does not carry the gene that puts my sisters and I at significant increased risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer. Dr. Munoz said that he was shocked that our grandmother's was negative and so had my mom retested. But she was negative. My sisters and I will still need to be very aware and watch ourselves closely since we have such a strong family history but we don't carry the BRCA gene:)

With that said...

            That my mom's doctor is at Medical City. I love it because my family can text me when they arrive at her doctor's office and I can meet them there. This has allowed me to go with her to her first appointment with Dr. Munoz, walk her to her PET scan, sit with her and help settle her in for her first chemo, and go meet them today for her shot. I LOVE it....plus it allows me to get to eat lunch with her regularly and I got to eat lunch with my dad and sis Chaille while she got her chemo yesterday. Isn't God good, he even put me at the right hospital with the right job.

I'm loving these Dansko's.
