What's up Wednesday

Linking up with Shea and Sheaffer Told me to for a  little What's up Wednesday...

1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK: We had delicious steaks and brussel sprouts Monday night, Tuesday we decided on sushi. I'm flying solo the next two day so we will be winging it;) And definitely ordering from one of our faves for take out this weekend...that has been one of our favorite Quarantine treats:)
Love that my kiddos love sushi as well!! Love Addi's cute little hands trying to figure out the chopsticks!
This queso from Crush Taco.....was AMAZING!!!

2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT: Summer sports and outdoor events...this sunshine this week is giving my life but also starting to make me crave some of that summer normalcy!
Last year summer sports fun!

3: WHAT I’M LOVING: see above....ALL the sunshine. I am a sunshine girl and NEED it for my mental health. Also still loving all our extra family quality time! We have spent SO much time outside and in the pool. I'm dreading our electric and water bills but it will be 100% worth it! And with sunshine I am obsessed with this huge container of Supergoop that I just ordered from my sweet friend. Saturday we also decided to "balloon" our church group friends. We ALL loved it!

Bunch O Balloons our favorite

huge container of Supergoop

4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO: we decided on some poolside family hair cuts for the boys last night...Cayson legit had the worst "professional" hair cut prior to the invasion for Corona and I think just maybe I fixed it pretty good;)

5: WHAT I’M DREADING: the unknowns if that's a fair answer....I'm a planner and all this unknowns is getting to me. TO be honest I have handled the "stay at home" pretty well its just the unknowns of what and when the future will look like. Like when you open your planner and need to white out all the things but then add on when things might start...making my head spin!!

6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON: making some reorganizing plans for our study for once the wood floors are finally done...hopefully one day soon. Loving all these acrylic and glass containers to fill with all our craft materials and supplies.

7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT: Texas reopening...I know everyone has their different opinions but I think this is GOOD. It should be slow and controlled and smart but it is time. I have 1000+ reasons but I won't go into that here. For those who are vulnerable or worried....it is still okay to stay home! But also excited for a sunny beautiful weekend so we can spend some more time in the pool.

8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING: Just finished binge watching the last season of Ozark and loved it. I've been on a weird no reading binge. Not sure what my deal is, I was on a roll for 2020 and quarantine has caused me to not read...hmmm....

9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: The 90s station on Amazon Music has been my jam outside by the pool lately.

10: WHAT I’M WEARING: Masks, upon masks, upon masks...and some cute headbands:)

11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND: POOL, POOL and more POOL.

12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: MAYBE some normalcy?! Maybe:)

13: WHAT ELSE IS NEW: That's about all...

Happy Wednesday friends...

What's up Wednesday

I decided to link up with a few of my favorite momma bloggers MelSheaffer, and Mix and Match Mama on  WUW

Here's the questions they answer each month....lets see how this goes;)

1. What we're eating this week...going to be honest...I've worked too many days in a row so Monday night was Sushi night, last night was leftover night, tonight is spagetti night but thanks to this cooler weather  I am looking forward to making this stew tomorrow...

2. What I'm reminiscing about...slowly over the last few months I have been coming to full acceptance that the baby phase is offically over for us....insert ALL the tears and emotions. My baby is no longer a baby but a walking, talking, sassy toddler. Ugh....reminiscing over my favorite baby days...

3. What I'm loving...these cooler temps and pulling out all the fall clothes...little ones in fall clothes will always be my favorite;)

4. What we've been up to...we celebrated the sweet hubs turning another year older with some of the sweetest friends...so thankful for our friend village. Sunday we got to spend the evening of worship at the Village Church with that incredible crew down there to pray over our sweet Kelly. It was the most powerful, heart stirring night I've had in a long time.
My huge family and this isn't even everyone!
The birthday boys

Love this crew

5. What I'm dreading...pulling out all the fall then Christmas decor....now don't hear me wrong...I LOVE decorating for holidays but I absolutely dread and hate dragging everything out of the attic to decorate. I swear our next house will have an easy walk in access attic.

6. What I'm working on...decluttering the kids toys and organizing...I go through crazy spells and I am currently in one of my...throw away ALL the things modes. I would be fine if we got NO more toys until 2020....if only I could get my kids on board;)

7. What I'm excited about...FALL and all the pumpkin patches....I cannot wait. One of my favorite things to do. I even signed up to hopefully go on Isabella's school pumpkin patch field trip!

Last year, oh my:)

8. What I'm watching/reading...This is Us....I cannot not wait to cozy up on the couch with a glass of wine for the first new episode. I'm currently reading China Rich Girlfriend, so good. I loved Crazy Rich Asians.

9. What I'm listening to...Who you say I am by Hillsong...since Sunday this has been on repeat. My absolutely favorite...

10. What I'm wearing...I've been SO bad about getting photos with me in them lately. I did grab a selfie while deciding on my hair style for the LEAP gala last week. I've been wearing my rain boots tons lately and am looking forward to some fall attire this weekend.
My little Isabella doing "homework" her favorite things these days!

11. What I'm dong this weekend...going to "I Mom so Hard" with some of my favorites...and I CANNOT wait!! Bring on the laughs and girl time!
We are thinking we should roll up in our friend's new mini van for the show! Yes!! Right?!

12. What I'm looking forward to next month...HALLOWEEN...like I cannot wait. I don't absolutely love the family theme the kiddos decided on but it will be so fun...I'm making this tradition last as long as I can:)

Also...Isabella gets to cheer at the high school football game and I CANNOT wait. She did a "Little Miss cheer" camp at the high school and they get to cheer at a football game next month:)

13. What else is new...not much....just staying busy dreaming of the Fall weather we've been waiting for!

Trains…cows….horses, oh my!

This past weekend was one for the books….full of friends and family time. I finished off the weekend with my soul refreshed and feeling extremely thankful….I got to see family 2 days in a row and it was PERFECTION. Saturday we did a belated birthday celebration with a train ride on the Grapevine train down to the Ft Worth Stockyards. It was so fun, the kids did great, it was a little toasty hot but it didn't spoil our fun….Sunday we got to participate in a brain tumor research fundraiser with the McDonald clan that was so special and meaningful…more on that in the next post….
Ready for her train ride

One of a kind family

Super excited

Isabella got to fulfill 3 huge requests she's had lately…ride a choo choo, ride a hosee, and ride a moo cow..

Tiny honey and moo cows

Adorable cousins

These suspenders were just too cute I couldn't get enough

Friday we surprised Isabella with her new Elsa jeep from her Mamaw and Gigi…she asked to drive it all weekend

Mommy's best cooking helper

Fun with friends

I'd say he loved his first brownie

Say what mom?!
