St. Patty's Day weekend wrap up

Hope you guys had a fabulous weekend! I know Dennis and I did. It turned out to be one of the best we've had in a while! Friday was just PERFECT, we cooked, relaxed and enjoyed each others company. Saturday we were up and at it in Dallas by 6:30 (or do to my crazy, very not normal unorganized self), more like 6:45, to meet these sweet friends for breakfast before heading out for the 5K!

Dennis leisurely walked the 5K (he got last in his age division, granted he was probably the only walker whose wife bought him a timed chip:). I ran it in 30:49, not horrible considering I started getting ready for it 2 weeks before and we were literally the last ones to start the race so I have never had to do so much weaving in and out of people in my life:) It was so fun.
After the 5K we enjoyed the crazy madness that is the Greenville St. Patty's Day parade!

After the parade we ran home, Dennis napped for several hours, I cleaned, cooked, napped then we headed to the Stroh's for dinner. I made the dessert below, a fruit pizza, to resemble the Irish Flag. Inspiration from here. It is so simple...sugar cookie base cooked per recipe instructions. Cover with mixture of : 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp of vanillla. Topped with your favorite fruit or make in any design:)

Happy Monday!
