We are SO incredibly ready for summer around these parts. This cold front that is coming through today has me dreaming of sun.... Thank you Texas weather for teasing us with beautiful days filtered in through some nasty days lately. With hopefully some more extended sun and fun in our near future I started to do some research on safe sunscreen and bug spray for the lil miss since we are spending increasing amounts of time outside and she has reached the 6 month age making it safe/recommended to start using sunscreen. We are also currently in the works of booking a cruise...yes, we will be taking a 6 month old on a cruise...call us crazy, but this momma sobbed at the thought of leaving her...ummm...it just won't be happening for a while. So here are my faves for the sun:

1) California Baby bug repellant spray: love this spray it is non-toxic, non-chemical,3 non-irritating, DEET free, and all natural.

2) MD moms sunscreen towelletes: I'm obsessed with these convenient wipes, a little pricey, so will probably use them as my quick on the go use but love them, they were created by moms that are physicians. 

Contains no phthalates, lanolin, mineral oil, petroleum or waxes

Contains physical sunscreens, titanium and zinc oxide, as the only active ingredients

Protects against UVA and UVB rays

Clinically tested & hypoallergenic

I am all about things without any random active ingredients, hence why I made my own rice cereal and oatmeal another post on that coming soon.

3) Babyganics sunscreen/bug repellant combo: love, love these organic choices, yes and yes, please

5) Boy swim trunks: Love these, they are machine washable and lined. The mega + is that they are UPF 50+ protecting little ones skin from the sun

6) Chambray sun hat: A sun hat is a must, must for the summer. Keep the sun out of little ones eyes and protects their face from the sun.

7) Neon girl bathing suit: Love, love this precious shoulder one piece. Also machine washable and offers UPF 50+ to protect the little miss from the sun:)
