6 months

Sweet Isabella I cannot believe you are 6 months old. Each day I love you more than the last. Your smile, your giggles, your cuddles, I can't get enough. You are changing and growing so fast! You have given so much new, beautiful meaning to mommy and daddy's lives.

I can't get over how much you have changed this month...All in one weekend you decided to sit up on your own, rock on your hands and knees, we started solids, you can get to a sitting position from your side now, you smile, and squeal and giggle so much. It makes my heart swell!!! Leaving you gets harder and harder rather than easier like people say...they lie;) Maybe it does for some but not for this mommy. I have a hard time sharing you when we are around others...hate when you go to bed early and when I have to go to work.

You eat every 3 hours...you take 2-5oz bottles while mommy is working so your schedule goes about like this...5:00 am, 9:00 (bottle), 12:00 (bottle), 3:00, 6:00 (Nurse then solid). We started solids about 2 weeks-ish before your 6 month appointment. So far you have tried oatmeal (like), avocado (dislike), zucchini (hate), sweet potatoes (love), carrots (like). You are going to turn into an orange baby:)

We tried to wean your Prevacid and you did great on once a day but 2 days after we weaned it off you were spitting up more and much fussier like you were hurting again...it was horrible waiting those few days for it to kick back in were so sad for mommy and daddy. Mom also tried one day to reintroduce dairy by eating a Greek yogurt because 6 months is usually the safe time but it most definitely upset your tummy. Another tough day for mommy...praying you aren't truly lactose intolerant and we can get your tummy ready for dairy.

Your naptimes have changed this month and you take 3 naps usually 9:45-10:30, 12:30-2:30, 5-5:45. Your bed time has creeped earlier and earlier with your usual bedtime being around 8. Mommy hates when you go to bed super early it makes me feel like I miss out, but I know it is best for you. You usually get a little fussy at the end play time letting me know you are tired and ready for your nap. You still like your paci for naptime and bedtime and that is just fine with mommy. You don't get it during the day just sleepy-times.

Likes: sleeping on your tummy with your booty in the air, sweet potatoes, carrots, oatmeal (if mixed with lots of breastmilk), going on walks, your swing, watching Baby Einstein with mommy on Saturday mornings (at least you seem too and mommy loves it;)), playing with your lovies in your crib (when you wake up now you are cooing and squealing playing with them).

Dislikes: being tired and falling asleep...only time you fuss ever..., zucchini and avocado, reflux, when mommy has dairy (it still upsets your tummy), being put down (you might be slightly spoiled and love to be held), when you can't see mommy or daddy (a little separation anxiety has started)
