Delicious Lactation cookies

As promised finally sharing this delicious lactation cookie recipe....

Ingredients:

2 tbsp flaxseed meal (not seeds)
2 tbsp water
1 cup self rising flour (can use whole wheat flour)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1 egg
1 tbsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1.5 tbsp Brewer's yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1 bag dark chocolate chips
2 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter)

1. In large mixing bowl, cream together your softened butter (not melted) & brown sugar. Then add in egg, vanilla and water. Mix well.
2. Add in dry ingredients except oats and chocolate chips. Mix well.
3. Then add in oats, chocolate chips and peanut butter.
4. Spoon into 1" cookies, these do not grow much in size. Place on cookie sheet.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

The flaxseed, yeast and oats all help promote lactation. All the other ingredients you can play with. Brewer's yeast can be tricky to find. It has to be Brewer's yeast to help with lactation I ordered mine here...you can use the tablets and crush them up but I found that to be a lot of work and the taste was stronger...

You can leave out the peanut butter or add more if you want. You can use regular semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate, or butterscotch chips...play with them to your liking...it will seem like a lot of chocolate chips and oats until you mix it and form them into cookies..I assure you it isn't too much;)

I adopted this recipe from a friend and change it up a bit every time I make it:) Even my lil one and hubby love them...
Enjoy!!

And my cute little helper!
