Viva Las Vegas

We just got back from our first trip to Vegas since having kids. I have been several times and it never disappoints. This year we stayed a Caesars Palace because that's where the hubs work conference was.  and to be honest if you plan to spend any time at the pool this was hands down my favorite hotel yet. I spent 2 glorious days at the pool relaxing, reading, drinking, ya know, the things you don't get to do with kids.

I have stayed at Paris (SO pretty inside), MGM (fun atmosphere that used to have a lion exhibit inside), Venetian (tribute to Venice, Italy and beautiful) and Bellagio (a little more fancy). To be honest none of the hotels disappoint on the strip. Even the Golden Nugget down on Fremont street has gotten a face lift and it is super nice.

Speaking of Fremont Street...I love it. The drinks are cheaper. The people watching is the best you will see and the lights are fantastic. You must go if you are in Vegas. This year we saw Absinthe at Caesar's Palace and if the tickets weren't so expensive I truly would have seen it again. It is hilarious and amazing all at the same time. I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Okay so my other favorite shows that I think are a must see are Cirque du Soliel "O", Blue Man Group, and Mystere (inside Treasure Island). I haven't been to a concert in Vegas because I have never timed someone I like to be playing when I am there but I have heard they don't disappoint either.

I'm not a clubbing type anymore (I'm old and a mom;)) but we were with a few people that wanted to check them out and I've been dying to go on top of the Palm.We decided to check out   on top of the Palm...the view is incredible and honestly the atmosphere of the club was so laid back...my type of bar. We also decided to hit up Omnia "the new up and coming" bar at Caesars palace...don't waste your time. We got up for free so the view was worth that but that's about all we did:) Checked out the view and headed out. It was just too crowded and not that great. Whew...that's a lot. What are your favorite shows and things to do in Vegas?
