We headed to Galveston early June with my whole family for our annual trip....we were there a solid week and I highly recommend. It's rare that we get a full 7 days away. It was much needed and the best family time. This year each family got a day that they were responsible for breakfast and dinner, it truly worked out perfect and was so nice. I also highly recommend this;) We stayed close to Crystal beach so had to ferry over to the main area but it was one of our favorite parts. We saw tons of dolphins every time. We also did a day at Moody Gardens Palm Beach that was a fun change of scenery for the day. Highly recommend always going down on the strand for the day shopping and definitely stop at the taffy shop and watch them make taffy. We always stop at Play on the Strand, Murdochs's-they have a fun patio and drinks;) and eat at The Spot, always favorites.
