Weekend Wrap-up

To say we had a lazy, relaxing weekend would be an understatement. I honestly wish I would have taken advantage of our free time for once and been productive but instead spent my time lying on the floor with playtime, getting lots of cuddle time in and watching my sweet little one transform right in front of my eyes. We conquered lots of things this weekend she is officially sitting....

and rocking....

Say what? She turned 6 months old and decided she needed to grow up way too fast this week!!! PS I love the positive reinforcement here...I praise her and she smiles and does it again..haha..

Friday we debated forever on whether to go out to dinner with some friends or have a lazy pizza night in...the stress of countless nanny interviews have hit me hard and I've been fighting a serious headache for days, so the pizza night won....it was so needed but a hard decision for this social bee. Ask my husband, I could go, go, go!! I love to be social and hate to miss out. We went on several family walks and went on several runs...we are going to be pool side in just 5 weeks...eek...I cannot wait! I have a huge love for running but after being diagnosed with a degenerative disc at 24 I was told to quit running...sigh...so I listened and only do it rarely like recommended, but I LOVE it...

Friday pics
My sweet little elephant booty...

This girl is wild....think she is going to take after her momma

1st frozen banana in her Munchkin (PS she hated bananas but didn't mind it this way)

Sweet lil turned 6 months...crazy..

Yep she loves zucchini...ya'll she hates everything!!! Except oatmeal with more breastmilk than oatmeal!

We are in trouble...she has her daddy's gag reflex!! It's torturous but I still try it at least 3 days...this was day 3 worse than day 1 and 2!!

Our new Friday nights...wouldn't trade it for the world

 Saturday...
Helping mommy make apple sauce and breakfast...

She's intrigued...

New Saturday morning ritual...juice and Baby Einstein...

And later nap time....

My favorite part of the day...mommy/daughter playtime...

I never want to forget what these moments feel like....mommy/daughter fun and giggles.

family walk/run time!!

She looks excited...but then the food lets her down every time:)

Sunday...we headed to Ft. Worth for sweet Laci's dedication then came home and had some more family time...

Our festive Cinco de Mayo stuffed avocados...they were delish...recipe here

My sweet festive little one!

This is her serious concentration face...trying to pick up the iPad...she is obsessed with my iPhone and couldn't figure out why she couldn't quite pick up this big one:)

Headed for Laci's dedication...love this sweet dress on her

Levi loved his Isabella:)

After my quick run while Isabella napped in the swing and my hubby was relaxing I decided to get a quick 20 min in the sun with my new book...Bread and Wine...loving it so far...while sitting in the grass I found myself thanking God over and over again for my beautiful family...thankful for these moments...I truly want to cherish each one...

Yep she hates apple sauce too.....geez...I really am in trouble..

"Fiesta likes there's no manana" Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed your Cinco de Mayo!!

Geez can it really be Happy Monday!!!

  1. I love her! She obviously has a very sensitive food palette, and I am sure she will be one of the best food critics one day! Just knowing how she is with her food now -I will for sure listen to her advice in the future!

  2. I like your thinking maybe she will have a great palate like her dad and be a good cook:) She hates my bland food without spices, etc!!
