Friday Favorites

Linking up with Shea over at Mix and Match Momma, Erika, and Narci today to share my Friday favorites.

ONE. Salmon burgers. We had these Salmon burgers this week and they are a favorite.  Salmon is so good for you but I am extremely picky on how I eat it, I don't love the major fishy taste so this is the perfect way to serve it for me:) I am still a huge Pinterest fan for recipes, I don't pin as much as I used to but still love it. You can find my healthy dinner board here.

TWO. MacBook Laptop. My laptop is slowly dying. It has been a trusty little thing and loved and supported me all through grad school, so we are talking almost 10 years old. MacBooks may have a heftier price but they truly last forever. Mine honestly would probably last longer if it wasn't for all the photos and videos on it, eek. So I am officially on the hunt for a new one and am obsessing over this new gold and rose gold versions they have now, love!

THREE. Kendra Scott birthday discount. I absolutely love that KS offers a 50% off birthday discount. Not many companies offer such a generous discount. I do also LOVE that Starbucks gives you a free drink for your birthday. Way to go KS and Starbucks. I couldn't let June pass by without using my discount. I finally grabbed these earrings. I've been in desperate need of some classic gold earrings. My other top choice was these. I love the mix of gold and rose gold.

FOUR. Netflix and Firestick. We cancelled Netflix years ago and I finally got it again so I could watch a few shows on maternity leave. I'm embarrassed to say I binge watched a few too many in my first 2 months of maternity leave. I think I watched more TV those 2 months than I ever have in my life ha! I highly, highly recommend Parenthood and 13 reasons why. I could not be stopped. I finished every show in every season:) I'm currently watching Girlfriends Guide to Divorce and plan to watch Orange is the New Black next. Okay besides all the shows for me I love that it has a kid profile. My kids can watch so many cute shows and movies-currently watching Secret Life of Pets, Moana, Finding Dory-so many to choose from. And if you haven't launched into the world of the Firestick, run do it now. I love that everything is at the push of a button. I honestly don't know if we will need cable much longer, if it wasn't for sports for the hubs we definitely wouldn't!

FIVE. Fourth of July weekend. I have always loved Fourth of July. The pool parties, the fireworks, the late nights. I love all of it. We just decided last minute to grab a hotel room in Addison for after Kaboom town with some friends. We may be crazy but after surviving 2 nights in a single room last weekend we've gotten brave and feel invincible haha! I can't wait. I think the kids are going to love it!  They haven't ever been right up close to fireworks and they are at the perfect ages for it, I'm hopeful Addilyn will sleep away in my Solly wrap!

Happy Friday! I'm thankful for the weekend but don't love how fast time is flying, it means work is just that much closer for me:(

Finally rounding up our July 4th outfit favorites, better late than never right?! Festive themed outfits and parties are my jam! Our family is going to stay the night in Addison and enjoy Kaboom town this year! I cannot wait! Can't wait to see our littles decked out in their red, white and blue:)

Life lately...Hideaway Ranch

This past weekend we embarked on our first road trip as a family of 5. We headed to Hideaway Ranch with my family near Glen Rose. Our kiddos were champions there and back and sweet Addilyn has decided she will sleep 8 hours at night so I would call this all winning:) When we first arrived at the cabins we kind of laughed.  It was more rustic than we had planned on for all our little ones, plus my niece was bitten by a Copper head snake the weekend before and had spent the last week in the hospital and didn't get to make it so we were all on high alert, but we honestly ended up having the best time. It was relaxing, no running around, just family, games, outdoors, good food and the kids loved just playing with rocks and swimming. There were cows and horses roaming freely, the kids loved that and we didn't see any snakes, yay!

And OUT!! Winning!

We stopped on the square in Granbury for lunch...it was SO hot!

These two loved exploring

Cayson teaching Mila the important things in life, like how to pee in the grass

This bug loving boy was in heaven!

We celebrated my birthday...wow thats a lot of candles:)

Frisbee time

Rocks=hours of entertainment

I have looked forward to our annual summer vacations since I was the little one playing with cousins.  I'm so thankful our little ones are getting to carry on the tradition.
I already can't wait for next year!

Friday favorites

Linking up with Shea over at Mix and Match Momma, Erika, and Narci today to share my Friday favorites.

ONE. Suitcase- We have a few small road trips planned for the summer and I've been eyeing this beautiful suitcase. I'm in desperate need of a new one and I have an obsession with white, black and cognac leather right now. Hence, Addilyn's beautiful car seat here. I'm still obsessed. I would die for the whole stroller ensemble including this and this, but I definitely don't need them. Why does baby stuff just get cuter and cuter so fast?! This leather Uppa Baby stroller is to die for as well. I'm also loving the Carry on size of this suitcase and this amazing Lap top/carry on bag!

TWO. Dress-I am loving dresses this summer. Maxis are so comfortably and I'm on the look out for a few more summery dresses. This army green maxi, with POCKETS is amazing:) It comes in stripe as well:)

THREE. Lunch box-slowly gathering things to get Addilyn organized for me going back to work in 3 short weeks, insert all the tears. I grabbed this adorable unicorn lunch bag for her bottles. She's decided she loves these bottles. I'm thinking Addi needs this lunch box. The leather detail is perfect for my current obsession I mentioned above.

FOUR. Road tripping...we are attempting our first road this weekend. Wish us luck. Im ready for some R&R. I'm desperate for a real vacation but this will do for now:) Addilyn got shots yesterday so I'm hoping a little Tylenol will do the trick and she won't be overly cranky.

FIVE. Cover up-I'm in desperate, desperate need of a few cute bathing suit cover ups. I'm still sportin mine from circa 1999! ha! I'm loving all these options. This white cover up and black crochet may be my faves.

Happy weekend friends!

To have and to hold

My sweet parents celebrated 40 years together at the end of May. My sisters and I decided to surprise them with a vow renewal ceremony for their anniversary. It took us about two months to iron down all the details. We rented out the cutest barn, had their long standing pastor officiate their ceremony and some of their sweetest friends sing some praise and worship. It was a very sweet, intimate and special service. I was in charge of the appetizers and cake. I went with a cheese and cracker table and a simple white cake I ordered from Deja Cakes. It all turned out perfectly. I thought we were going to be rushing to the hospital to stitch up our son's lip right before-thanks to blood EVERYWHERE my comforter got a wash, and Isabella and Cayson got new outfits and it was sheer chaos trying to leave. His lip really needed a stitch so will have a little scar, thankfully he's a boy and chicks dig scars right;)?! My sisters and I had so much fun doing some crafting and thanks to my incredible carpenter husband we had a beautiful wood sign as well! Can't wait to see the photos my brother in law captured and my goal is to put the video I captured into a cool slideshow video. We'll see if I get motivated and find time:)

Sweet cousins

My little family

Pair this, with that party

If you know me I love any reason to throw a party and that's just what I did on Monday. I have been desperate to bring some healing and restoration to my skin and decrease the speed at which I am obtaining wrinkles so I did some research and decided to try Rodan + Fields. There were so many amazing products that I wanted so I decided to go the consultant route something I said I would NEVER do but I am loving the products so plan to just share if/when people ask. I promise to not be the Facebook over-poster or annoying sales woman but if you want to try the tried and true lash boost, I am your girl. I can't wait to finish my 6 weeks and show some photos. I decided since I was doing a pair this skin problem with this solution theme that I would also do a wine/cheese pairing to match. It was so fun and even with an almost 2 month old I managed;) The kids were great and the evening was so fun! SO thankful for the sweet friends and family that came to join and Emily who shared all the skin care with us:)
